Whether newly installed or pre-existing, columns add a statement to a room. These columns were already in the home. The client wanted to define the space between dining room and living room with something elegant. Wood columns are often very rough, even if they have been painted before, so Artisan applied a Swedish Putty to smooth the surface. The "Fantasy Marble" finish was added then several coats of high gloss sealer to give them the polished look. The capitals and bases were painted with antique gold leaf paint.
