The designer wanted the feel of sitting in a curbside bistro in Havana during the 1930’s. The problem was this is a condo built during the 1980’s. We worked together to develop the hand made look to the 3 dimensional bricks peeking though the layers of exposed plaster and pink stucco. Using the knowledge gained from repairing colonial homes, Bill carved in the cracks and stained the walls to look as if water were destroying them slowly. A touch of color in the trim, antiqued of course, and the room felt a century old.
